Mr. Joan Valadou, Consul General of France in Shanghai, led a delegation comprising members of the Consulate General of France in Shanghai on May 30, 2025. The visit was warmly received by Mr. Xu Bo, Secretary of the Hospital Party Committee.

Secretary Xu Bo extended a warm welcome to Mr. Joan Valadou. He reviewed the long-standingfriendly cooperation between our hospitalFrance in the medical sector. He noted that our hospital has engaged in depth collaboration with numerous French medical institutionsuniversities across multiple domains, achieving remarkable outcomes. He expressed his hope that both sides could strengthen collaboration in scientific research, particularly in transnational, multi-center drug development,ultimately benefit a broader patient population.

Mr. Joan Valadou warmly commended our hospital for its significant contributions to advancing Sino-French medical cooperation. He noted that the collaboration between our hospitalFrench partners represents a successful paradigm in bilateral medical engagement, spanning academic exchanges to industrial collaboration,has established an exemplary model for cooperation. Then he emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration in medical technology, research platforms,enterprise partnerships.

 During the visit, the delegation toured the Outpatient Department, the Emergency Command Center, the emergencycritical care center building of our hospital. The Consul General’s visit will provide new impetus for our hospital’s efforts to further deepen Sino-French cooperationunlock new opportunities.
