To celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France and to promote cooperation in the medical field between the two countries, our hospital held a Sino-French cooperation exchange meeting on the morning of October 11. Professor Jean-François Le Bas from the Grenoble Alpes University Medical Center, Professor Alexandre KRAINIK, who is the Deputy Director of the Biological Imaging Research Institute at Grenoble University, and Professor Guillaume DEBATY, the Director of the Emergency Department at the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital, attended the meeting. Our hospitals Secretary of CPC committee Xu Bo, Vice President (in charge of work) Qian Zhiyuan, Vice President Shi Xiaosong, and President Assistant Zhang Liyuan were present at the meeting, which was presided over by Vice President Zhao Jingzhou.
The delegation of French experts visited our hospitals Department of Critical Care Medicine, Department of Imaging Diagnosis, and the construction site of the Emergency Rescue and Critical Care Center project, gaining firsthand insightthe hospitals operational development.
On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, Xu Bo expressed that, first, we must not forget the solid foundation of cooperation established by our predecessors over the past 30 years, and we should carry on this legacy while extending our highest respect and gratitude to several senior members and teachers from the French side for their long-standing support of our hospital. Second, our country has the custom of climbing heights during the Double Ninth Festival to seek broader horizons. We hope that the French side will provide more guidance and support to our hospital in the future, helping us to continue our ascent along the path of the Grenoble Alpes University Medical Center, a "peak of medicine." Third, the number "9" is the largest digit, and we wish for our exchanges and cooperation with the French side to grow larger, stronger, and more refined, just as this number symbolizes; the pronunciation of "9" is similar to "long-lasting," and we also hope that our collaboration with the Grenoble Alpes University Medical Center will endure for a long time, with friendships lasting forever.
Qian Zhiyuan extended a warm welcome to the three visiting experts. He stated that since the establishment of the Sino-French Friendship Hospital in 1992, our hospital and the French side have jointly traversed a 31-year journey of Sino-French medical exchange and cooperation, achieving fruitful results. It is hoped that through this exchange meeting, we can spark ideas around the topic of Sino-French international medical cooperation, thereby further enhancing the level of specialty construction on both sides, cultivating international medical talent, and providing high-level medical services.
At the exchange meeting, Director Liu Lijun of our hospitals Department of Critical Care Medicine and Professor Alexandre KRAINIK respectively introduced the Sino-French Friendship Hospital and the Grenoble Alpes University Medical Center.
Qian Zhiyuan, along with Jean-François Le Bas and Alexandre KRAINIK, signed a cooperation agreement as representatives of both sides. Xu Bo, on behalf of the Sino-French Friendship Hospital and the Second Clinical Medical College of Suzhou Medical College, awarded the Honorable Professor certificate to Jean-François LE BAS, and Associate Professor certificates to Alexandre KRAINIK and Guillaume DEBATY.
