From November 7 to 15, Vice President Qian Zhiyuan led leaders from the departments of Emergency and Critical Care Medicine, Neurology, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Science and Technology Division and Clinical Research Center to visit France. The visiting delegation visited Grenoble-Alpes University Medical School, Paris Henri Mondor Hospital, and Strasbourg University Medical School. The delegation and relevant personnel conducted in-depth exchanges on Sino-French medical cooperation, undergraduate and postgraduate education, scientific research, and talent cultivation, achieving gratifying results.
At Grenoble-Alpes University Medical School, the visiting delegation held talks with Mr. Villermet, Director of the International Relations Department of the University Medical Center. Both sides introduced their respective hospitals, discussed and signed a memorandum of cooperation. Qian awarded Professor Lebas, former Director of the Imaging Center, the Outstanding Promoter of International Cooperation Certificate on behalf of the hospital. They visited the emergency center (SAMU), trauma center, and neuroscience research institute, and conducted exchanges with relevant personnel on department management and operation mechanisms, disciplinary advantages,academic achievements, and future cooperation. They also met with Professor Olivier Palombi, Dean of the Medical School, to further discuss cooperation matters. Both sides expressed the need to strengthen cooperation in medical care, academic research, and education.
At Henri Mondor Hospital in Paris, Ms. Florence Veber, Director of International Cooperation at the Paris Health Department, and Ms. Adeline Rouby, Director of the Medical Department at Henri Mondor Hospital, received the visiting delegation. The delegation visited the hospitals SAMU and trauma center. Ms. Florence Veber said that the Paris Public Hospital Group (AP-HP) is the largest hospital group in France and even in Europe, with 39 hospitals and nearly 22,000 beds. The Paris Department of Health attaches great importance to cooperation and exchanges with the Sino-France Friendship Hospital and recommends that the two sides sign a cooperation agreement. The Chinese side is welcome to send medical staff to Paris public hospitals for further study and training on a regular basis.
In Strasbourg, the visiting delegation visited the Odiral Family Care Center (including the Family Oxygen Therapy Center), discussed cooperation matters, and signed a cooperation agreement. The director of the center, Professor Sauder, had previously assisted our hospital in introducing the "pre-hospital emergency - emergency - critical illness" medical concept in the Suzhou area, and established the intensive care unit, laying the foundation for the construction of our hospitals emergency and critical care center. Qian presented Professor Sauder with the International Cooperation Outstanding Promoter Certificate on behalf of the hospital and expressed gratitude for Professor Sauders support and assistance to the hospital.
As the first officially established Sino-French friendly hospital in China, our hospital has always attached great importance to Sino-French medical exchanges. Over the past thirty years, the hospital and the affiliated hospitals of Frances universities have always respected each other, trusted each other, and cooperated closely, which has effectively promoted the alignment of the hospital with the worlds advanced medical standards. This visit is a consolidation and continuation of the hospitals friendship with France, focusing on strengthening mutual exchanges in the fields of neuroscience, critical care medicine, sports medicine and trauma care, scientific research, and talent development. The hospital has signed cooperation agreements (memorandums)expressed cooperation intentions with Paris Department of Health, Grenoble-Alpes University, and the Strasbourg University School of Medicine, aiming to promote comprehensive and systematic Sino-French international medical cooperation, and provide high-level medical services.
